The Grace Anatomy

When I think about the gift of grace I am reminded of how we are given favor in situations that sometimes do not seem favorable. However, grace has the power to give us a second chance, another opportunity to recover from our mistakes. Everyone deserves a period of grace to choose a better path for their life. Grace gives us time to correct things that may have went wrong.

A woman with grace shows compassion, love and learn that forgiveness is a necessity to live a free life. When you choose to be a woman of grace you give someone else permission to be imperfect. Our imperfections shows everyone else that we are human. In reality, no one is flawless because we all have flaws but our flaws make us authentic. When you choose to be a woman who exudes grace you make others feel secure.

A woman of grace holds a certain elegance, poise and finesse in the world because she never try to be something she is not. She never judges others but embrace everyone with love and respect. When I think of women who have portrayed the statute of grace I think of Queen Elizabeth,Princess Diana and Mother Theresa. These particular women have displayed their elegance, finesses and poise to everyone that have crossed their path.

If you are struggling with how to be a woman of grace below are a couple of tips to help you be a gracious woman and embody the anatomy of grace!

Exercise Your Girl Power Everyday!

After watching the 67th annual Emmys, I was overwhelmed with the joy of feeling empowered. It was a night for women to shine and break barriers that continuously need to be broken in media, in Hollywood, in music and so many other places.

As women we are challenged with so many responsibilities that we sometimes lose our way. We lose our way by hiding the authentic person we are by becoming someone only society wants us to be. It is important we do not lose ourselves in the midst of pleasing others.

We have many hats we wear but we should always take every opportunity to make our voices heard to exercise our girl power everyday. In my 36 years of living on Earth I realize being a girl is not only fabulous but quite powerful yet we never take the time to celebrate our power. So in this post we are giving you tips to exercise your girl power everyday!

Tips To Exercise Your Girl Power

1. Stand Up For Something. If you do not stand up for something you will become a victim and fall for anything. It is important you exercise your voice when you feel that it is necessary to bring a change to the world. Do not be afraid of what others may think of you because your voice matters. Stand up for a cause that is dear to your heart in spite of the minimized applause.

2. Celebrate Yourself. It is important to celebrate yourself everyday and every chance you get in life. Never wait on others to celebrate you because before anyone can appreciate you; you have to learn to appreciate yourself.

3. Cater To You. As women we can do many things at once but that does not mean we have too. We owe it to ourselves to take time off to reflect, restore & rejuvenate our sanity. So never hesitate to let everyone know you are taking time off from their needs & catering to your needs.

4. Retail Therapy. Never feel guilty for splurging on yourself as long as your bills are paid & some money is stashed away you can indulge in a little retail therapy.

5. Rate Of Return. The greatest investment you can make is in yourself so don't be shy about investing in that trip, spa day or anything else that will nurture your soul. Their is a greater rate of return when you invest in your growth and well-being. Don't  short-change yourself!

Fashion Tips For Being Authentically You.....

When asked by a fellow colleague who were my inspiration for fashion I smiled and thought there are many people who inspire my fashion however, the two women I can say that I admire in fashion is Sarah Jessica Parker and Angela Bassett. Although, I have a long list of fashionistas, I believe these two celebs inspire me the most in my fashion choices. Fashion is like art it is expressed through layers and layers of clothing to convey the mood you are currently in.

Fashion is a state of being & style is a state of mind so in the chaos of trying to keep up with the trends below are tips to help you be you in fashion during this fall!

Fashion Tips For Being Authentically You....

1) Embrace your style & fashion. It's funny that people believe there are rules to fashion but in order to acquire a style of your own break the rules and develop your own sense of fashion.

2) Wear the colors you feel good in. Yes it's true Pantone put out the colors for the season but you can wear colors this fall that make you feel alive. Do not get caught in the wrong or rights of this fall fashion scheme.

3) Be a virgin to fashion. As you grow & develop  your fashion and style will always evolve. Do not be afraid to clean out your closet & start from scratch to create a wardrobe that signifies the person you are today!

4) If all else fails wear black. Black is classic, comfortable and chic so if you are not into adding anything new to your wardrobe palette wear black. If you decide to wear black put a pop of color into the mix to give it a warm but bold feeling this fall.
